Additional Elite Prize available to All Students - NZD$5000.00 The Bridget Gilchrist Language Perfect Scholarship

This scholarship is in recognition of the contribution Bridget Gilchrist (our Chief Content Manager) has made to Language Perfect, and celebrates our new partnership with the University of Otago Department of Languages and Cultures.
We're offering one lucky student a scholarship of NZD$5000.00 towards their course fees when they enrol in either a Bachelor of Arts (Languages) or Diploma in Languages at the University of Otago for the 2014 academic year.
Students who achieve an Elite Award (10,000+ points) in the Language Perfect World Championships will be invited to apply for the Scholarship.
"Vocabulary acquisition is a key component of language learning. The Department of Languages and Cultures of the University of Otago recognises the value of Language Perfect as a learning tool which helps students from beginners’ level onwards to build a strong vocabulary base and to internalise it. An enhanced vocabulary can assist students’ progression to advanced levels of language competence."
- Dr Simon Ryan, HOD Department of Languages and Cultures, University of Otago.
Judging and selection will take place over June/July 2013 with final confirmation once final enrolment has been confirmed with the University of Otago.

This year we have a Standard Draw for competitors, and we have also introduced an AWESOME Premium Draw for Language Subscribers and for schools that choose to subscribe after the competition.
The Standard Draw (see table below) is open to all participants of the Language Perfect World Championships. Drawn by Monday 11th June. Only points earned during the World Championships count towards prizes.
The Premium Draw (see table below) is restricted to full Language Perfect subscribed students who get entry into BOTH the Standard Draw AND Premium Draw. Drawn on Monday 1st October 2012. Points earned throughout the year and during the World Championships will count towards these prizes. If you subscribe to Language Perfect at the end of the World Championships, your points will be retained and you will get entry into the Premium Draw so that you can continue learning throughout the year.
Please ask your teacher to contact support@languageperfect.com if you are interested in subscribing.
Once the competition finishes there is a random draw for each item in each prize pool (note: the Premium Draw isn't drawn until 1 October 2012.) Silver Level students are entered into both the Silver and Bronze Prize Pools. Gold Level students are entered into Gold, Silver and Bronze Prize Pools. Elite Level students are entered into Elite, Gold, Silver and Bronze Prize Pools.
